Red Cedar Strategies was founded by John Brady Amacker in 2023, specializing in political and public relations consulting.
JB was raised in Petal, Mississippi and spent most of his life on Cedar Street. Like the name of the street, our firm is named after the Eastern Red Cedar tree. This evergreen is native to Mississippi and is known for its resilient nature in harsh environments. Like the red cedar tree, RCS embodies strength, longevity, and adaptability. About JB Amacker:​
JB Amacker, founder of Red Cedar Strategies, is a May 2023 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He graduated with magna cum laude distinction and a Bachelor of Science in political science and communication studies. He is an active member of the Sigma Nu Theta Gamma alumni chapter. JB is currently a graduate student at Mississippi State University, pursuing a Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) degree. He has also worked for his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi, since the fall of 2023.

JB first found his love for politics at a young age when his father ran for Alderman in the City of Petal. When he turned eighteen, he ran in a special election for the vacant Alderman at Large seat in Petal. The next year, JB ran to serve as Alderman for Ward Four of Petal following his father's retirement. While he did not win either race, JB learned valuable campaign experience and knows how it feels to run a race with limited resources. Since running for office, JB discovered his passion for election management, public relations, and social media creation. He has participated in numerous campaigns and has experience working with a wide variety of business owners.
