Our Story:
Red Cedar Strategies was founded by John Brady Amacker in 2023 as a Mississippi-based consulting firm focused on political strategy, public relations, and strategic communications.
JB was raised in Petal, Mississippi, and spent much of his life on Cedar Street, the inspiration behind the Red Cedar name. Native to Mississippi, the Eastern Red Cedar is known for its strength, resilience, and ability to thrive in changing conditions. Those same qualities shape the way we approach our work.
From navigating politics and policy to developing compelling messages and building effective digital strategies, Red Cedar Strategies helps clients communicate with purpose and pursue their goals with confidence.

About JB Amacker:
JB Amacker, founder of Red Cedar Strategies, is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He graduated with magna cum laude distinction and a Bachelor of Science in political science and communication studies. He is an active member of the Sigma Nu Theta Gamma alumni chapter. JB also recently graduated from Mississippi State University, earning a Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) degree. He has also worked for his alma mater, the University of Southern Mississippi, since the fall of 2023.
Having been a candidate for municipal office himself, JB understands firsthand the demands candidates face, from building a campaign with limited resources to communicating effectively with voters and managing the day-to-day realities of running for office. He has also worked directly with business owners and organizations, giving him an appreciation for the practical challenges they face in building their brand, reaching customers, and communicating clearly with their communities
